About Raafat

Raafat Abadir was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He grew up watching his dad as a developer and a structural engineer building and selling buildings across the city. Raafat followed suit and graduated in 1976 as an Architect from the University of Alexandria.

For a chance at a bigger dream he immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1988 with his wife and two children. A major contributor to their move was a life changing accident that turned his life upside down. On the brink of death and with the loss of his dominant arm, he overcame all medical odds and they started a new life in Canada.

Two careers emerged from that; Architectural contract administrator and Real Estate. Raafat became a realtor in 1992 and has committed his career to knowing the city well, developers even better and meeting the needs of clients. He went to all open houses, visited every district and made several successful deals over the years.
